Yoga has transformed my life at all levels of my being from physical to energetic to emotional to spiritual, and this is what I bring to my yoga teaching and sincerely wish to share with my clients.
Who can practice Yoga?
Whether one is physically fit but struggling mentally and emotionally,
Mentally calm, and yet physically challenged due to addictions or bad habits (samskaras),
Whether one is in a wheelchair or bed due to a medical condition,
Whether one is suffering from grief, trauma, or a medical condition,
Yoga is there and promises to bring harmony to one’s life by consistent practice.
Anusuya was born and grew up in the birthplace of Yoga, India. The Yogic sense of self-inquiry was deep-seated in her, which led to the path of Studying, practicing, and sharing yoga with others. During the process of exploration and inquiry, Anusuya had the opportunity to dive deep with the help of many renowned yoga teachers in India and the US.
As a seeker of truth, she has always rejoiced in connecting with people across cultures and continents in creative pursuits as a photographer, artist, and lover of world music, seeking a deeper meaning of life through each one’s story. She is passionate about helping and working with people at all levels, especially in unburdening themselves from all the baggage we carry that physically manifests into diseases.
Class structure
Anusuiya offers group and private classes with young and old age groups, people confined to chairs or in bed. She particularly enjoys teaching senior citizens.
Each yoga class is based on individual needs. Her classes are carefully crafted to impart a complete experience incorporating the eight limbs of yoga.
Her teachings not only emphasize the physical aspects of her client but also the energetic, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects to offer a holistic well-being approach.
Anusuiya is trained by various teachers in India and the United States.
Certifications and Specializations:
She is a trained Yoga Therapist, certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).
Anusuiya is also a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 level, showcasing her extensive training and experience.
Her specialized training includes more than 500 hours of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga and more than 300 hours of Pranayama (yogic breathing practices) from the Gitananda Yoga Tradition. She is also a trained Dharana (Meditation) teacher, Yoga Nidra teacher, Restorative and Yin Yoga teacher
